Finally got around to fitting the glass on a cock pheasant mount today. A local company cuts the glas to my requirements and i fit and finish. Also rinsed a roe buck shoulder cape and placed it into Lutan tanning solution. will be ready for mounting next week.

Spent a good amount of time paring and shaving a customers sika stag cape prior to it going into the pickle solution. The thick skin on the top side of the cape needs to be reduced to less than a quarter of its original thickness otherwise the pickle will not be able to penetrate and do its job. Will be nice to finish with the messy jobs and start putting it all together.

Finished caping and paring customers muntjac and roe buck shoulder mounts today. Also picked up a nice big sika stag cape for another customers shoulder mount. will spend a few hours thining the skin on it prior to it going into the pickle as the skin alone is as thick as your finger..
